Women of the ELCA

As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing, and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.

Recent programs we have participated in include World Day of Prayer, Operation Inasmuch and World Hunger appeal. We often have projects, including collecting food donations and toiletries for We Care of Chapin, Harvest Hope Food Bank, and Southside Residential Home.

WELCA welcomes any woman and invites all women to join our group. We all work together to serve our church, community, and world. We meet on the 1st Monday night of each month (except when it falls on a holiday) at 6:00 p.m.with our business meeting followed by a meal.
